THE EXAMPLE OF BRAD'S TABS

by CaptainPado Thu Jul 29, 2004 6:44 pm

A little message from Brad...

if you STILL dont understand the tabs, here is the easiest example.

when you see this 22 22 02 02 33

this is what you would see in a professional book

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
--2-2-----2-2---0-2---0-2----3----3-------------------------------------
--2-2-----2-2---0-2---0-2----3----3--------------------------------------
--2-2-----2-2---0-2---0-2----3----3---------------------------------------

the headstock of the guitar is this way <<<<<<<

the body is this way >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

if you were holding your guitar and you are a righthanded player and you laid it on the ground and stood over it, this is how you look at this tab bar

when you see a chord like this A#, play that chord.

and the reason i dont make them all look like that one up there^, is cuz i could have tabbed you 5 more songs out by the time it took me to just do that^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
some days all i do is watch the sky...

FAQ: Why does Brad tab the songs out so weird?

Brad Noah wrote:becuz i dont have a whole lot of time to sit here and do all that. the way you read tab in tab books is correct, now just pretend you are looking only at the 6th string of that becuz thats all it is, when you go to play it, use the 4th and 5th string too, for you are in drop D and thats as simple as i can put it. when you see a chord typed out like A# play A#. if you can really read tab, than this is going to kindergarten. i have made it so easy than my niece can play it by reading this. if i ever were to get ahold of some kind of tabbing system that would do all that for me i would, but let me ask you how long did it take you to do those few lines up there ^^^^. i will give you the answer, 4 minutes longer than i would have had the time for. ecspecially when i am on my winter break. so whenever i tab this stuff out, its going to read like that. just play the 6th string and when you have learned it, play the 4th and 5th with it.
